That's because the pickit tool does much more than only checking the version.
Yes could be, we have to check it out.
Because Nico and Benne are working on there own, am I right?
No, Bene uses my latest source, I think the most important change Bene made is the usbtogl=0 removal.

Any progress here?
I didn't really have time, maybe this week somewhere.

I cant get the problem solved, and my spare time is very limited. Is here anybody who can deeply analyze the log files?
We need to know what the communication commands are between the pickit and Pickit 2.40 tool and their order.

Hmm, I did this a time by analyzing the source of the pickit program.
I'll check tomorrow if I still have this file, otherwise I will do it a second time.

ok today I spent some time. I create a log file.
1. The original pickit was already connected with usb and I recorded only the usb communication during the start of the grafical pickit2 tool from microchip (pickit2_start_gui_without_target.txt)
2. Our Picprogrammer was already connected with usb and I recorded only the usb commnication during the start of the grafical pickit2 tool from microchip (ourpicprog_start_gui_without_target.txt ) but with our version the tool doesn't start. It hangs.

Sorry, nothing of substance. Just wanted to let you know that I'm very much interested in this feature. Hoping the break-through will come soon! :-)

I try a few times to program Atmega 32 with usbprog_base.hex with Fuse described in article. This was unsuccesfull every times.First after programming I can't acces Atmega anymore. When I try to install usbprog I see in Device Manager like usbprog_update modus. Using Usbprog -Gui V.02 to update to make MkII a few times
device was not recognized and from Device Manager under Lib32.... was disapering a usbprog_update modus.
My question is: How can I program Atmega 32 without BOOtloader , only with SW for MKII or something else, f.e.
at89prog or something else. I try it with usbprog V2 and usbprog V3.1

I have been reading the complete thread on circuitsonline.net about the PICKit Clone. I was wandering if there is any progress in the firmware development. I'm not a real software guru but if necessary I can help with some common development. I'm really interested in a PIC programmer because mine works via a comport (which my new laptop does not has anymore).
If my help is desired then I assume that I here from either benedict or SMDLover (he can contact me in Dutch).
Kind regards.
